Frequently asked questions. Just how I like ‘em.
-
I help nonprofits build corporate and institutional partnership programs: the frameworks, tiers, pipelines, and stewardship systems that turn one-time sponsors into multi-year partners. I also coach development leaders on managing and growing those portfolios once the infrastructure exists.
I don't bring a rolodex of corporate contacts. I build the internal infrastructure and capability so your team can find, cultivate, and sustain the right partners themselves.
-
Arts, civic, youth-serving, and public health nonprofits that are ready to build or rebuild their corporate and institutional giving program. What matters more than sector is readiness. Organizations that want to get better, have someone internally who can own the work, and are honest about what's not working.
-
Not as a primary service. My lane is corporate and institutional partnerships. I can support individual giving as a secondary element within a larger engagement, but if that's the primary need I'll point you toward someone better suited.
-
I can support grant strategy and case development as part of a larger engagement. High-volume proposal writing isn't my lane. If that's the primary need, I'll refer you to someone who does it well.
-
Both. Discovery and planning are part of every engagement, but the work doesn't stop there. I'm in it with you through implementation: reviewing data, coaching through asks, adjusting when something isn't working. I'm not the consultant who delivers a deck and disappears.
-
Yes! Ground Floor is specifically designed for early-stage organizations building a corporate partnership program from scratch. Size matters less than whether the organization has someone who can implement and own the work after the engagement ends.
-
Most consultants come in with a template. I come in with questions. I listen first, synthesize what I hear, and build a plan that fits how your organization actually operates. Then I stay in it, showing up on a schedule, holding you accountable to the goals we set together, and teaching you to hold yourself accountable after I'm gone.
-
I price based on scope and value, not hourly rates or a percentage of funds raised. Once we've had a conversation and confirmed the fit, I'll put together a proposal with transparent pricing. Engagements are project-based or monthly retainers depending on what the work requires.
-
Fully. All engagements are remote. I am based in Atlanta, GA, but open to periodic travel included in the scope.
-
Yes. If you're a consultant who needs a corporate partnership specialist on a client engagement, get in touch.
-
A 30-minute call. I want to hear about your organization, what you're working on, and where you're stuck. You'll hear about how I work and whether there might be a fit. No pitch, no pressure. Just a conversation.
-
Sometimes. If you have a vacancy or a coverage gap, I can step in on an interim basis as a fractional fundraiser or major gifts officer for a defined window, carry the work, and hand it off clean when your next hire lands. It isn't the main thing I do, but if that's what you need, ask me about it.
